Role:
This position designs, develops, and maintains computer applications software with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. This includes analyzing user needs, developing custom software, documenting systems, and training users. This position also supports, upgrades, and maintains third party software and provides custom report development, including needs analysis, report design, and development.
Competencies/Skills:
• Researches available tools and technologies to provide innovative solutions to application problems.
• Performs all aspects of analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of new systems.
• Analyzes user needs and software requirements to develop technical specifications for software system development.
• Develop and maintain database driven applications

Your professional designation is complemented by a minimum of 5-7 years of engineering and business experience. The ability to blend sound engineering science with common sense and cost-consciousness is essential to the success of this role.
The ideal candidate will be an effective people and project manager, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communications skills, business acumen and competency with relevant software applications. They will possess a passion for simplicity, practicality, value and results.
Competencies / Skills:
• Perform structural engineering design for standard and custom project design functions.
• Interact with detailing and manufacturing to produce cost effective building products.

• Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) registered or available to be registered in the Province of Saskatchewan.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience related to the conception and structural design of a wide range of engineering projects. This will include all related building code requirements. Expertise in preparing designs, drawings, calculations and cost estimates using industry standard software tools.
• Experience in dealing with International Building Codes and Engineering would be an asset.

You will prepare Engineered drawings, component lists, shop drawings and other related documents in the Engineering Department. Your initial scope of assignment will be to become familiar with the preparation of drawings (Steel & Fabric) for all Cover-All Building products.
