The Best of the Best – Spruce Meadows & Cover-All

When horse enthusiasts from around the world tour Spruce Meadows, it's a personal revelation to experience ''the best of the best''. With a track record of more than 30 years and 300 acres encompassing facilities to host 700 horses during tournaments along with some of the largest prize purses in the world, it's understandable why Spruce Meadows is an attraction to the world's elite equestrian athletes.

Ranked the top show jumping venue in the world for 4 years running, Spruce Meadows is truly the place to be for the world's best athletes. Cover-All is proud to be a supplier of equine facilities to Spruce Meadows, which is now home to six Cover-All buildings used for training and warm-up arenas, stabling areas, and manure storage. "One of our Cover-All buildings is a training area very close to the international ring where our riders compete. This building gives us the ability to offer athletes an area where they can train and warm-up and not have to deal with the elements," shares Linda Southern-Heathcott, President & CEO. The Cover-All practice arena provides athletes the ideal setting and perfect footing to prepare prior to entering the main International Ring where thousands of spectators and millions of television viewers watch the competition. "Our international athletes have all come to us and said they really like the spacious area, high ceilings and controlled environment, and that's very important." The peaceful interior and environment of the Cover-All practice arena helps to keep the horse and rider focused during the spirit of high stakes tournament competition.

Cover-All buildings have proven to also be ideal for the stabling needs at Spruce Meadows. "Each of our stabling areas house about 140 horses, and when we're in peak performance we have up to 800 horses housed onsite at Spruce Meadows, competing for the richest prize money in the world," says Southern-Heathcott. The translucent fabric membrane creates a naturally lit interior, eliminating shadows and reducing the need for artificial lighting. The clear-span area of the stables enables Spruce Meadows to configure the stables and alleyways as they desire and have enough room for trainers and horses to comfortably move around.
