Sarra Mayberry from Thornhill, Stirling,
Scotland has been in the Top 10 Young Riders in Europe, a European gold medal
winner, and is also a Great Britain Young Rider. Sarra's parents have always
supported her and after intensive research, Brian was convinced that a
Cover-All® fabric membrane covered building would be the perfect riding arena
for his daughter to practice her love of eventing.
Once the decision was made to build a private
equestrian facility to enable Sarra to enhance her training regime, the
Cover-All® building was installed very quickly. “We didn't have any problems in
obtaining planning permission for the pre-engineered building,” says Brian.
“From breaking ground to riding inside, the entire building installation took
only five weeks!”
Sarra's interest in horses started at the age of
four when she took up riding. Sarra trained for many years using their outdoor
facility but the weather often prevented her from riding every day, as often the
surface was frozen and unusable.
The clear-span, year-round riding environment of
a Cover-All® building thus proved to be an instant benefit and has allowed the
Sarra to work her horses regularly to maintain their standards. “The horses are
very happy in this environment,” says Sarra. “The indoor riding arena is much
quieter and provides more light than traditional buildings which is great for
young horses and far more conducive to effective training.” Many people have
visited the building since it has been erected. “After being inside the building
for the first time, two leading trainers were impressed with the size and
natural environment of the riding arena,” says Sarra.
Brian is very happy with the service he received
from the local dealer, Fortnum and Woolley Ltd. who constructed the facility.
“This is a state of the art facility and one of the best in Scotland,” states
Brian. “I am totally satisfied and have no hesitation in recommending Cover-All
to anyone!”
A final year student at Glasgow University,
Sarra continues to train five days a week. She is a member of the Scottish
Equestrian Association and is the top ranked Scottish rider in the British &
World eventing rankings. “The building has been invaluable,” says Brian. “During
the wet weather Sarra was able to prepare to participate in her first
Badminton.”
